Combining the Bebionic Hand and DynamicArm Training
Adaptable, intuitive and precise, the bebionic prosthetic hand continues to transform the lives and abilities of people with upper limb amputation around the world. When combined with the DynamicArm powered elbow system, the Prosthetist is able to create a highly functional and effective myoelectric system for elbow disarticulation and higher levels of amputation. This course will train certified prosthetists on the features and functions of the bebionic hand, and how to combine it with the DynamicArm.
Pre-Requisite Training:

Learning Objectives:
- To gain a basic understanding of the design and function of the bebionic hand.
- To identify bebionic features, functions, and combine it with the DynamicArm.
- To recognize adjustment strategies and how to troubleshoot common errors for this combination of components.
- To demonstrate an understanding of the Bebalance and ElbowSoft programming software.
- To demonstrate competence in choosing the right user for these technologies.

Presenters:
Annie Hess, CP
Annie has had a passion for upper limb prosthetics since her first class in O&P school, and has pursued additional experience and knowledge in this area since. She attended the prosthetics and orthotics program at the University of Washington, and has worked with and for several upper limb specialists. Annie is the secretary of the AAOP’s Upper Limb Prosthetic society and the first woman to serve as an officer. She authored the chapter on body-powered UL components for the 4th edition of the Atlas of Amputations and Limb Deficiencies. She lives in San Jose and is enjoying her new field based position travelling all over the country!

- Category I CEUs will be granted to CPs, CPAs, and CTPs. All other certifications will be granted Category II CEUs.
